Fresh peaches are sliced, tossed in sugar and lemon juice, piled into a baking dish, and baked until tender and bubbly. Buttermilk biscuit dough is dropped by spoonfuls over the peaches and sprinkled with sugar and nutmeg before it 's all slipped into the oven to finish baking.

This is New Mexico's traditional cookie. A great thick sugar cookie that is dusted with cinnamon-sugar. The traditional shape is fleur-de-lis, but use your favorite cookie cutters if you like.

If you can 't find mulberries, you may use blackberries or raspberries instead. Simply mix rhubarb, berries, sugar, and flour together, and then spoon the mixture into an unbaked crust, dot it with butter, add the top crust.

If you've ever made gelatin, you can make this delightful salad. Lime gelatin, pineapple juice, a bit of chilling, and then comes the pecans, pineapple chunks and lots of Cheddar cheese. Chill again and un-mold.
